filter()

Creates a filter object.

Filter objects apply a query to data. In most cases, you use them to filter a timeseries, but you’re allowed to use them anywhere that a filter object is accepted.

Syntax

filter(<property_name>, <query> [, <query>…​ ])

Parameter Type Description

<property_name>

string

Name of the property to query

query

string

Value to compare to the contents of <property_name>. Allows '*' as a multi-character wildcard, except in the first position of the string.

You can join multiple calls to filter() with and, or, and not logical operators.
